2025 National Society of Arts and Letters National Meeting
The NSAL National Meeting was held May 8-10, 2025 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Our DC chapter had one winner at the national level: Elizabeth Ann Chen won 1st place in the National Winston Art Competition. DC chapter ballet contestant Sava Brizhik received a certificate. DC Chapter President Ron Ivey attended along with Laura Ivey, Celia Josephs (Winston Art Chair), and John Schalow.

Eleven ballet contestants from chapters around the country competed for the top four awards. DC Chapter contestant Sava Brizhik is the tallest in this group photo. There were three distinguished ballet judges: Marianna Tcherkassky, Susan Jaffe, & Maria Calegari.
DC Chapter Winston Art Winner Elizabeth Ann Chen won the National Winston Visual Art award.
The National Literature Award was won by Marissa Watanabe from the Hawaii Chapter.
Martorella Voice winner Sarah Rosales from the Iowa Chapter performed three pieces for us.
Catherine Creed from the New Jersey Chapter was the Winston Voice winner.
Pittsburgh Chapter members hosted a dinner at the Duquesne Club and did an excellent job of organizing and running the three day event.
