2026 National Awards Competition: High Brass
2026 National Awards Competition: High Brass
Each year the Washington, D.C. chapter and other NSAL chapters nationwide are invited to conduct competitions in a designated discipline. The winners of the local chapter contests are then eligible to compete at the national level. Local chapters assume travel and lodging expenses for their winner(s) to attend the national competition and convention, this year to be held May 14-16, 2026 in Little Rock, Arkansas.
NSAL-DC is pleased to announce its High Brass competition in Trumpet and French Horn to select the 2026 winner to represent the chapter at the National Awards Competition in Little Rock, Arkansas on May 14-16 where top competitors receive cash awards totaling $40,000 or more. The DC chapter will award to its 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners $3000, $2000, and $1000. Applications are due to the DC Chapter Chairs by March 15, 2026. This chapter has no registration fee. The competition is virtual with no masterclass. See the competition rules in the brochure. Please send a link to your video to the NSAL-DC High Brass chairs, as well as any questions.
