2022 Celebration Reception

NSAL DC hosted a Celebration Reception at the City Tavern in Georgetown, Washington DC. Chapter members and guests were treated to the chapter’s 2022 musical and fine arts winners. The Winston Classical Voice winner and the National Piano Competition contestant regaled the audience while the wonderful art of Winston Fine Arts winners scrolled throughout for all to enjoy.

Ian Pathak, an electrifying tenor, who is a rising junior at the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre and Dance, is a winner everywhere he has performed in 2022!

Not only is he our NSAL-DC Winston First Place winner, he also captured Second Place with the Southern Illinois Young Artist Organization competition, and was a Finalist with the American Pops NextGen and Schmidt Vocal Arts Undergraduate Competitions! He performed in Aspen’s Music Festival operas, and captured the Schoolmaster/Mosquito role at the University of Michigan Opera’s Fall production of Janacek’s The Cunning Little Vixen.

Robiya Akromova is a senior at the Lynn University Conservatory of Music in Boca Raton, Florida. She was sponsored by NSAL-DC for this year’s National Piano Competition in Chicago.

She has begun to garner international awards in both piano and chamber music – a First Prize in the Gray Perry Young Collegiate Piano Competition, several piano scholarship competitions, and was a finalist in the Lynn Chamber Competition in 2018. Ms. Akromova was thrilled to participate in the National NSAL Competition.
